What story does
your tag tell?

A social issues project exploring child labor and fast fashion through the familiar language of clothing labels.

MY ROLE / CONCEPT + SCANNING + POSTER DESIGN

I chose child labor and fast fashion as the focus of this project. My mood board explored ways to connect childhood, consumer products, and labor through visual metaphor. The final poster centers a clothing tag as a prompt to consider the story behind a garment.

I scanned the tags, receipts, and textures myself, then assembled them into a layered collage in Adobe Photoshop. During the process, I learned to use blending modes to create a printed texture and make the digital lettering feel integrated with the scanned materials.

Digital layers.

I scanned physical tags, garment labels, packaging, and textures to build a library of original materials. In Photoshop, I combined the scans with typography and used blending modes to give the poster its printed surface and layered detail.
